1)      Merdeka square

Dataran merdeka 1920

Dataran merdeka is a good starting point to explore the city’s heritage site. The Union jack Lowered here on 31 August 1957 marking Malaysia’s independent day from Colonial rules. Hence the name Merdeka which mean’s independent in Malay.

2)      Royal Selangor club

Adjacent to merdeka square is Royal Selangor Club a charming mork-Tudor structure.mit was pounded in 1884 as a small plank building with thatched roof, serving as a social and cricket club for the growing expatriate community.

3)      Sultan Abdul Samad Building

The old classic building is called Sultan Abd samad the building has been British Government Administration during 1897. Boasting a Mahometan or saracenicstyle, the building is constructed entirely of brick it was largest building of its day. The stately structure consists of an imposing porch, graceful horseshoe-shaped, arches, shiny copper domes and 41.2 meters high clock tower.

4)      Market square

This building designed by architect and engineer Ty Lee is a fine Example of art Deco styles of the 1930s. Central Market used to be the town’s wholesale and retail wet market for fresh produce during British era but it was renovated and reopened in 1986, and it was first example of a Heritages Building.

5)      Chinatown (petaling street)

KL’s Chinatown is a bustling and colourful street of shops’ restaurant and hawker stalls, a side from the popular shopping district of Petaling Street. The near buildings clan house and tamples contain evidence of the city build heritage.

6)      Kl Railways Station

This splendid building in the heart of the city was the hub for the nation’s rail transportstion system before the modern KL Sentral Station was build.
